Haider is an upcoming Indian drama film directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, and written by Basharat Peer and Bhardwaj. It is an adaptation of William Shakespeare's Hamlet, and is set in Kashmir. Haider is the third installment of Bhardwaj's Shakespeare trilogy after Maqbool (2003) and Omkara (2006). aider key cast includes, Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Kay Kay Menon, Tabu, Irrfan Khan and is directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. Synopsis :
Vishal Bhardwaj's most awaited dark drama Haider is out and is already making waves for Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor's sparkling chemistry and Tabu's eye-catching presence. Haider - a young man returns home to Kashmir on receiving news of his father's disappearance. Not only does he learn that security forces have detained his father for harboring militants, but that his mother is in a relationship with his very own uncle. Intense drama follows between mother and son as both struggle to come to terms with news of his father's death. Soon Haider learns that his uncle is responsible for the gruesome murder, what follows is his journey to avenge his father's death.
Vishal Bhardwaj loves complicated stories which dig deeper into the various shades of grey characters. Vishal seems confident of the film’s success and chose to co-produce the movie. Not only this, he has also co-written the script and composed the music for Haider.
